Fuel-Injected 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe 4-Speed

This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe is powered by a replacement fuel-injected 327ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Previously refinished in blue and reupholstered in Saddle leather, it was acquired by the seller in July 2022. Recent work includes rebuilding the engine, fuel injection system, and gauge cluster, repairing the dash, and replacing the clutch, tires, wheel bearings, and parking brake assembly. Additional features include a Positraction differential, hidden headlights, dual exhaust outlets, and 15-inch knock-off wheels. The car is offered on behalf of the owner with a clean Montana title held by the owner’s LLC.

Originally finished in Daytona Blue (916), the fiberglass body was refinished under prior ownership and later fitted with paint protection film. Exterior details include flip-up headlights, fender vents, quad taillights, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips exiting through the rear valance.

The 15-inch turbine-style knock-off wheels are wrapped in 205/70 BFGoodrich Silvertown redline tires installed in October 2023. The C2 generation introduced fully independent suspension, featuring upper and lower control arms up front and a rear three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums, with the parking brake assembly and wheel bearings replaced in October 2023.

Inside, the cabin has two bucket seats trimmed in Saddle leather with matching door panels and carpets. Equipment includes a heater, locking glovebox, and lap belts. The dash cover was repaired and reinstalled in October 2023; the clock and radio are currently inoperative.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a 6,500-rpm redline tachometer, and gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer was replaced in May 2023 and reads 7,000 miles, around 400 added by the current owner; total mileage is unknown. At that time, the temperature and fuel gauges were also repaired with new lenses and worm gears.

The replacement 327ci V8 was overhauled in 2023 with a Lunati “Duntov” camshaft, resurfaced cylinder heads, and new pushrods, lifters, and rocker studs. The Rochester mechanical fuel injection system was rebuilt the same year. In 2024, the ignition diaphragm and cold-start valve were replaced, and the fuel injection and timing were adjusted. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential, with a Centerforce clutch installed in April 2023.
